FAQ

What kind of clothes/shoes are best?

You should wear whatever you're comfortable in! Clothes that allow freedom of movement are good, and if you are prone to sweating, you might consider bringing a second shirt to change into partway through the night. Shoes that don't have a lot of traction will keep your joints the safest.

Do I need to bring a partner?

Nope! During lessons, we rotate partners, so everyone has a chance to dance with multiple people. During social dances, people don't stick with one partner, but ask many people to dance!

Do I need any previous dance experience?

No previous dance knowledge is necessary! We welcome beginners and have a beginner lesson every Monday night at 7:00pm. We also sometimes have a progressive series on Sundays, which usually focuses on developing your dance style and technique.

Are children welcome?

We love it when all ages of people want to enjoy dancing! Children are very welcome, but we do not provide childcare services; parents and caregivers are responsible for their own children.

What is parking like?

All of our regular venueshave parking lots with plenty of free parking! Our regular Monday night dance at Perets Coffee has parking right on Sheridan, with overflow parking 1 block north on Main St.

How much do lessons cost?

All of our regular lessons are $5, or you can buy a 5-class punch card for $20. If you show us a student or military ID, lessons are just $4 and punch cards are $15.
