FAQ

What kind of clothes/shoes are best?

You should wear whatever you're comfortable in! Clothes that allow freedom of movement are good, and if you are prone to sweating, you might consider bringing a second shirt to change into partway through the night. Shoes that don't have a lot of traction will keep your joints the safest.

Do I need to bring a partner?

Nope! During lessons, we rotate partners, so everyone has a chance to dance with multiple people. During social dances, people don't stick with one partner, but ask many people to dance!

Do I need any previous dance experience?

No previous dance knowledge is necessary! We welcome beginners and have a beginner lesson every Monday night at 7:00pm. We also currently have an intermediate lesson on the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:15 that can vary between line dances and intermediate content.

Are children welcome?

We love it when all ages of people want to enjoy dancing! Children are very welcome, but we do not provide childcare services; parents and caregivers are responsible for their own children.

What is parking like?

All of our regular venues have parking lots with plenty of free parking with validation! Know your license plate to ensure validation. For Perets validation is at checkin. For Sailor and the Dock you scan the sign in the lot and the 2nd sign at the bar. There is also street parking on Sheridan, with overflow parking 1 block north on Main St.

How much do lessons cost?

All of our regular lessons are $5, or you can buy a 5-class punch card for $20. If you show us a student or military ID, lessons are just $4 and punch cards are $16.
